At Fidelity, meeting your financial needs is our top priority. For that reason, we want to inform you about an upcoming change to Fidelity Bank’s overdraft services. This change, mandated by the Federal Government, will affect your account when there is an overdraft.
Currently when you make a debit card purchase or ATM withdrawal, Fidelity will cover those transactions at our discretion if your account is overdrawn. However, under the new regulations, we will no longer be able to do so unless you’ve agreed to this practice by OPTING IN.
You must give us your consent by August 15, 2010, for CURRENT accounts and by July 1, 2010 for NEW accounts by opting in. However, if you choose not to opt in, you do not need to respond. By not responding, your debit card purchases or ATM withdrawals will be declined, even in an emergency, if there are not enough funds available in your account. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Care Center at 1-800-388-4380.
